Losing your way can be a frustrating experience. By letting people know how to get to the places and streets in our area, we'll encourage them to visit and enhance the experience of their stay. A simple service like this will improve the image of the Community and makes people more secure and confident about entering our neighbourhood.
We'd like to include as many of the places in and around Athlone as possible - but we need your help.
You can help us expand this service to include all the Streets and Landmarks in Athlone by letting us know how to get to the road in which you live, or to the popular landmark that you pass everyday. Give us directions to find your street and help make sure that nobody gets lost in Athlone again.

Zainunnissa "Cissie" Gool was the daughter of Dr Abdullah Abdurahman. She was the first non-white woman to complete a MA degree in Psychology and also the first non-white woman to practise law in South Africa, which she did in 1963 at 63 years of age. She was also the only non-white woman to sit on the Cape Town City Council before 1994, and also helped to form the Non-European United Front. There is an Avenue named after Cissie Gool in Rylands.
